Did you know that the North Clackamas School District is Oregon's fifth-largest, serving nearly 17,000 students and operating 32 schools in Milwaukie, Happy Valley and surrounding communities?
These schools, while well maintained, face challenges: Roofing, plumbing, electrical, and ventilation systems across the district are reaching the end of their usable lives, and inadequate HVAC has forced classroom heat closures during warm weather.
To address these challenges, the North Clackamas School District has placed a Bond Proposal on the November ballot: Measure 3-dash-639.
This measure is projected to maintain current tax rates.
The proposed Bond, if passed, would fund:
Improved ventilation, HVAC, and cooling system integrations into each building’s existing infrastructure to create comfortable learning spaces and prevent heat closures.
Repair or replacement of roofs, siding, plumbing, windows, and electrical systems that have reached the end of their usable lives.
