Have you ever thought about the fact that we spend more time at school than anywhere else, other than our homes? It’s almost like a second home, so we all need to feel safe and accepted here. In fact, we have the right to feel safe and be safe- physically, mentally, and emotionally- whenever we’re at school. Let’s get real, people. If you see, experience, or know of something that makes school an unsafe place, any kind of discrimination, bullying, or harassment, Whether it’s based on race, gender or if it’s sexual harassment or assault, you don’t have to hide it, and you don’t have to feel like you’re alone. There are two things we can do to ensure our community stays safe: Stand Up! and Speak Up!
